
Biography
Jewel A Maisonneuve born 1953.
Maisonneuve grew up in Salinas CA. Her mother and she would often go to Carmel CA art Galleries, where she was inspired by all she saw. She would come home, draw, paint, or create 3-D designs of many works of art she saw.
She took art classes in Junior High & High School, but has been mostly self taught up to age 72 when she enrolled in a painting class at Hartnell College in the Spring of 2026, in Salinas CA. She is pursuing more training to develop her innate skills.
Maisonneuve works in whatever medium is available at the time. She has not settled on one single preference.
Her work has included; Murals , Clouds on ceilings, restoring and painting 2 carousel horses, wood carving, stage backgrounds, digital art, Silk dying, and illustrating her husband's and a friends story books.
